Is SEO something good now or is everything completely different?

Heart Bloggers don’t optimize, they just wipe the corners of their mouths with a handkerchief. Search engine optimization is artificial and planned. It is calculating, intentional. Let’s say it’s technical. This is not a blogger’s world, because it is too authentic, natural and often even too honest.

But that is the strength of SEOs: They go ahead, they like to analyze for their lives. The only thing SEO prefers to do is predict Google’s future behavior.

The blogger blues starts when you realize that the best contribution, the successful original text of solid substance with exquisite nutritional value and rich content … that he does not rank. Search engine optimization straightens things up again; heals what should fit together. The text written away from the soul is not always as clear as you yourself thought. And yes, sometimes it gets a little bit sprawling. Storytelling in practice. It doesn’t have to hurt, it doesn’t have to be bad. But it can! Suddenly your contribution stands for nothing.

People instead of machines. That is a noble demand – from the point of view of people. But what use is it if nobody comes to look and read. When nobody wants to unwrap your presents because nobody knows they exist. And certainly nobody knows how much it would be worth it. It is up to you to make an improvement. You can advertise, stir the big social media drum or just do it on SEO.

Don’t waste yourself on SEO , don’t throw your neck at this belief, don’t get caught up in the delusion of total optimization. Instead, let your next post do your full care.

There are things I don’t like as an author, for example having to write the keyword at the beginning of the title. In the sense of good SEO rules – like I did here for this posting. That had to be. But usually this requirement limits my writing skills. I would like to do without it completely. At this point, SEO etches.

But it can also be seen as a challenge. As a challenge when writing the headline. I consider the headings a bit as an art form . It is important to do something special with it. SEO fits into a time when people optimize themselves. What is good for me cannot be bad for my blog, can it? But maybe it’s not healthy for both of you. There’s no need to think of Google when writing. It’s better not to think when writing, but to let it flow. In any case, that is the ideal state. Sure, you internalize a bit of SEO. Just like spelling rules – more or less … This also saves work.

Ultimately, SEO is just an optimization, never more. And you do that afterwards. Like some other thing that you do once the text comes out. Someone else could even do it. Because there are rules.

Not doing SEO doesn’t mean not showing up in search engines

Not doing active SEO does not mean being unknown to search engines and not being able to occupy top positions. The good, honest, authentic content does that for itself. Not doing social media marketing does not mean that you are unknown in these media. Someone has to bring the content there, yes, but you don’t have to do it yourself.

Word gets around. Just do what you want to do. Write your stuff. But do not be persuaded or dictated how you should write it, which shapes or which style you have to consider. Which words you can use and what you prefer to leave out.

Whoever writes for machines produces cold heartless texts. But it is not forbidden to go over the whole thing again afterwards and from a certain point of view with a check listing hand to go through it again. If you have any doubts, just leave it alone.

SEO annoys me. I don’t want to think of the search engines when writing. At the beginning I looked closely at what the SEO plugin advised – or ordered – to then stuff the keyword in everywhere and convert the title. But I don’t do that anymore.

Even a reader noticed it in an article. After that I felt bad. SEO made my text worse. I’ve obviously optimized too much; so much that it stood out. That shouldn’t be the point of optimization. But it is, because SEO is one-sided. One-sided designed for the electronic needs of a giant machine – just Google.

Keywords play a central role. If you have a knack for it, know the right tools and know how to use them, you can align your postings accordingly. You can tweak them, optimize them, or turn the flag after the wind. Then you write what is sought, respond to what promises the highest demand and the most clicks. At this point you leave my world.


I do not advocate the technical construction of articles or systematic writing. I want natural, lively blog texts that come from the heart and yet have been written with a clear mind. There is real life in the virtual.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Google can notice that too. I have something to offer in my blog, so I don’t have to do a petty optimization for a few key terms. If Google does not find anything here, then Google does not understand the WWW. I don’t have to worry about that. It will work. Because the knowledge is old. Don’t write for the search engines, but for real people.
